The Architecture Trip, a crucial academic experience at FADU - UdelaR since the 20th century, began as the Grand Prix, an award for top graduates, but evolved in 1947 into a collective journey for each generation. As the Faculty Team in charge, we designed the academic proposal “Atlas of Cultural Landscapes”, which challenges static notions of geographic and cultural boundaries. Cultural landscapes, shaped by the interaction between geography and society, reflect historical transformations and societal values. Students observe and document the places visited through five thematic axes, enhancing their professional training and opening pathways to internships, research, or further academic pursuits.
